Evidence Capability
FutureTherma doesn't just measure whether buildings perform. It can intervene to correct drifts at the room-level. It can establish the environmental conditions that people actually experience and, through IEQ & EOO, create a pathway toward evidence of what those conditions mean for occupants.
What It Is
FutureTherma is developing operational infrastructure that can continuously measure indoor environmental conditions, determine when conditions become adverse, intervene to correct them, and generate evidence linking environmental exposure to occupant outcomes.
IEQ & EOO™ provides an evidence framework connecting measured indoor environmental conditions with occupant exposure, intervention and observed occupant outcomes.
IEQ is what is happening in the physical indoor environment. EOO is what can be evidenced about the occupant experience associated with those conditions. FutureTherma's role is to measure, determine, intervene and evidence — not to diagnose or treat disease.
The Framework
5C answers: how is the building performing — Comfort, Consumption, Cost, Carbon, Compliance.
IEQ & EOO answers: what environmental conditions are occupants actually experiencing, and what can be evidenced about the resulting occupant outcomes.
Comfort is part of what EOO evidences, alongside other environmental conditions relevant to occupant wellbeing — the two sit on the same evidence architecture.
